Help & FAQ
Answers to the questions that come up most often once your site is live. If something here doesn’t solve it, reach out and we’ll sort it out.
Signing In
How do I sign in to edit my site?
Go to welcomehomemedia.net/admin and enter the email address your site is registered under. You’ll get a one-time sign-in link by email — no password to remember. Click the link and it takes you straight to your site’s editor.
The sign-in link took me to the homepage instead of my editor — why?
That usually just means the link needs a moment to register. Wait a minute and try it again, or request a new link from the sign-in page.
Customizing Your Site
Can I change my site’s colors?
Yes. In your editor’s Colors section, choose from a handful of curated palettes designed to look good and stay easy to read, or set your own custom color with a hex code. If a custom color is hard to read against text, a note will let you know — that’s just a heads-up, not a blocker.
Can I change how my listing photos are displayed?
Yes — your editor has a setting for listing card style: a boxed card, or a full photo with the details overlaid on top. Toggle it in your listing settings to switch between the two looks.
Connecting a Domain
Can I use a domain I already own (like yourname.com)?
Yes. Your site comes with a Welcome Home Media address, but you can connect a domain you’ve already bought through a registrar like GoDaddy or Namecheap. Add it under “Connect Domain” in your editor, then follow the DNS values it shows you.
Where do I enter those DNS values?
In your registrar’s DNS Records (sometimes called “DNS Management”) section — not “Domain Forwarding,” which is a different feature that can conflict with these settings. If a record looks locked or already filled in (often labeled “Parked”), that’s just a placeholder — delete it and replace it with the value your editor gives you.
How long does it take to go live?
DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to fully take effect, depending on your registrar.
Troubleshooting
My domain shows an old or wrong page — what do I do?
If your domain worked right away in a private/incognito browser window but keeps showing an old page in your normal browser, that’s almost always your browser’s cache — not a problem with your site. Clear your browser’s cached images and files (in Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → check “Cached images and files” → Clear), then reload.
